Author John Cash Filippe Launches Hilarious Blog About the Perils of Dating at 52.

Ocean Shores, WA, May 10, 2021 Author John Cash Filippe has launched a hilarious weekly blog, Vegas in the Morning, about the perils of dating at 52. Information Technology Executive by day and writer by night, John lives in a remote beach community full of vacation and retirement homes. Prohibited from dating at work and living in a location not conducive to meeting potential partners, John took to the modern but unfamiliar scene of online dating. He found that dating has changed significantly in 20 years.
Determined to do whatever it takes; John circled an area on the map with less than two-hour drive-time and began his earnest computer search for the perfect date. Married three times and now 52, he knows this is probably his last chance to get married again so he is sincere in this pursuit. Despite his eagerness, the reality is, in his age group, the dating pool has grown desperate, overweight, older than advertised and less attractive than desired. Alas, he forges on, with unwavering hope. It is a numbers game, after all. At this age, one must date larger numbers of available women. Still, the sad conclusion of the many dates makes one understand why a person who sounded so good could still be single. Lessons learned and dynamic adjustment are necessary as one continues forward.
“I hope this blog will amuse, inspire and inform other 52-year-old men as they foray into the dating world. You just can’t make this stuff up,” said John Cash Filippe. “It is like picking a movie to watch based on a review, driving two hours to buy a ticket and watch in shocked amazement because the storyline is completely different from what was advertised. I don’t care how tall they are, but I do have a self-esteem.”
He further states, “I have a lot of time to think about this on my long drive home. I have decided the entertainment I am paying for is not what I expected but it is amusing and a commentary on single life at my age. I will not give up, but I decided to do what any author would do; write about dating women from a vast unknown dating pool to find a wife. It is a journey with lots of twists and turns, many surprises and sometimes it is like watching a car wreck. And it is not always me who does not like them. Sometimes I meet the perfect woman who does not like me. I have no earthly idea how this could be true but there it is. Reality. Ahem.”
